Solo Exhibition of Leandro Erlich at Art Front Gallery

Art Front Gallery is pleased to presents the solo exhibition of Leandro Elrich - Fragment of Illusion -.This time, It will be for the first time to have an exhibition by only collection pieces in Japan.

Gallery Talk (Japanese-speaking) Date and Time: 13 September (Sat) 13:00 -14:00 Venue: Exhibition Room 2, Ichihara Lakeside Museum Speaker: Eitaro Ogawa (Project Leader, STPI) and Hisaharu Motoda (Participating Artist) Free of charge, admission ticket is required. We are glad to invite Eitaro Ogawa, Project Leader of Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI) and Hisaharu Motoda, one of the participating artists of the current exhibition to hold a gallery talk on the theme of What is Print. Eitaro Ogawa, who will be visiting from Singapore, will introduce the mission of STPI as to share his experiences working with the exhibiting artists during their residencies; while Hisaharu Motoda will introduce his latest work follow by a guided-tour. STPI’s Creative Workshop offers a dynamic residency programme for leading artists from around the world to experiment and push the boundaries of artistic creation with alternative methods and materials. Works to be introduced: Eko Nugroho (Indonesia), Ronald Ventura (The Philippines), Haegue Yang (Korea), Lin Tianmiao (China) About Hisaharu Motoda Born in 1973 Born in Kumamoto, Japan, Motoda is regarded as one of the rising stars in the world of printmaking, having won several major prizes, including Chief Prize at the 34th GYOR International Symposium of Artists’ Municipal Museum in Hungary and Japan Print Association Prize, since obtaining his MFA in Printmaking from Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2001. He was the recipient of the Fellowship of Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for Artists 2009/2010.

Hironobu Shiozawa show at Daikanyama T-Site

July 15 - Sep. 6 Hironobu Shiozawa, an artist deals with clay works, show his unique series of “Internal Mechanic of Phantasm” at Anjin Café. This series gives us humorous surprise with its hybrid form of motorbike and dinosaur of other animals and insects. Please have a chance to check his delicate boy’s dream like art works at Anjin this summer.

summer exhibition "Edge of Print"

July 1 - August Katsutoshi Yuasa, one of the artists participating in the exhibition "What is Print?" currently held at Ichihara Lakeside Museum, will gather his recent works at our gallery in Daikanyama. We will change the installation and introduce other artists such as Koseki Ono, Hisaharu Motoda during this exhibition.

Solo show of Leandro Erlich at Kanazawa

The solo show of Leandro Elrich is held at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa from 3rd May. This exhibition will be his first solo show in Japan. His work "Swimming Pool" has been an icon of the museum since its' opening. ART FRONT GALLERY is also planning his solo show in Tokyo this year. We hope lots of people visiting Japan will have chance to enjoy his latest work.
