VOCA 2013 (The Vision of Contemprarty Art 2013) now in view. Annual exhibition introdicing the leading artists working with 2 dimentional works are in view at Ueno Royal Museum. Following Chihiro Kabata and Miyuki Takenaka selected in the previious year, Two artists, Takaoko Hojyo and Kana Yoshida from Art Front Gallery are introduced in the show. 2/1 - 2/17                                   Art Front Gallery will present solo exhibition of Kouseki Ono. Kouseki Ono - Multiples Date:2013 Feb. 1 (fri) – Feb. 17 (sun) Opening Hours: 11:00 - 19:00 *closed on Mondays Venue:Art Front Gallery Opening Reception:Feb. 1 (fri) 18:00~20:00  Using handwritten dot pattern as a plate for printing, Kouseki Ono prints various colors over 100 times on the dots by silkscreen printing. His work differs from regular prints. It is special way of creation that this method does not allow prints to become edition works although using the same print plate. In this exhibition at Art Front Gallery, he will focus by means of pillars of ink on the visual change and in particular variation of wide combination of material as if it proliferates. This exhibition will be the first time in 1 year and 3 months after “Transplants” in October 201, as solo exhibition at Art Front Gallery.Please visit and enjoy this unique exhibition.

At this precious occasion, we would be working with two booths, one especially organized for special project of Shinji Ohmaki, and another for general booth of Art Front Gallery; showcase of Shinji Ohmaki, Chihiro Kabata and Bunpei Kado. He was introduced in Singapore at Hermés early last year as well as at Art Museum in last summer. For the coming Project Stage space, Ohmaki is now preparing a new installation which he has never shown to public before; the slowly undulating fabric would remind us of ocean waves of Singapore. This site-based work, together with his colorful or delicate white pieces in general booth, is “salable” for the first time for the audience of Singapore. Bunpei Kado “Sky Town” iron, wood, lead 2000 x 700 x 1850mm, 2010 Bunpei Kado is working with figurative three dimensional works. He mixes different material and subject to make one work; that is, what we already know is combined to give a new meaning as a whole.
